Signature Devices, Inc. Enters Personalized Media Market With Development of "Meez" Avatars

Cell Phones, E-mail, Blogs, Instant Messages and Web Pages Will Come to Life With These Fun, Customized 3D Identities and Accessories

SUNNYVALE, CA, Jul 18, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Signature Devices, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SDVI) (www.signaturedevices.com) has entered the personalized media market with the roll out of software products for Meez avatars (www.meez.com), customized computer identities that allow users to "pimp out their virtual selves" for any of their Web-based communications platforms using 3D graphics. Signature Devices developed the 3D engine components for San Francisco-based Donnerwood Media's Meez product line, including lighting, shading, software rasterizer, artificial intelligence, animation system and antialiasing. Signature Devices also helped with the web-based communication system. The Beta version of Meez.com rolled out in March and has since been creating a buzz within this rapidly growing market.

Meez IDs afford users the option of adding a new dimension to their communications platforms by attaching customized, animated versions of themselves to their cell phone consoles, Web pages, e-mails, blogs, instant messages and other on-line programs. The browser-based Meez product works on Windows, Macintosh and Linux PCs. Users choose a male or female Meez "character" which they can customize by selecting from a vast line of free clothing, hairstyles, tattoos, piercings, accessories, backgrounds and animations. This provides them with millions of possible ways to create a highly personalized image of themselves that can be applied almost anywhere 3-D images are accepted on the Internet.

Meez I.D.s were developed using new Java-based 3D technology derived from existing technologies Signature Devices now uses to publish software for video games and commercial products for the world's leading game publishers, including Electronic Arts, Crytek, Expresso Fitness, and SNK Playmore.

Mr. Hurley added that Signature Devices has a long-term agreement with Donnerwood to provide ongoing support services for Meez.com.
